THE IMAGE OF KINGS IN HISTORICAL LEGENDS (THE CASE OF AMIR TEMUR)

This article analyzes the artistic and ideological features of the image of kings in Uzbek folk historical legends. Special attention is given to both legendary and historical rulers such as Jamshid, Zahhak, Faridun, representatives of the Kayani dynasty, as well as the great commander and ruler Amir Temur. Using legends about Amir Temur as examples, the study examines the artistic idealization of the ruler’s image, his elevation to a sacred and charismatic status, and his significance within folk historical memory and collective imagination.
