LINGUOCOGNITIVE AND SOCIO-PHILOSOPHICAL INTERPRETATION OF THE CHILD IMAGE: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS BASED ON THE WORKS OF CHARLES DICKENS AND G‘AFUR G‘ULOM

The article presents a comparative analysis of the linguocognitive and socio-philosophical interpretation of the child image in English and Uzbek literature. The study is based on the novels of Charles Dickens and the works of G‘afur G‘ulom. The results show that in English literature, the child is more often portrayed as a victim of social injustice, whereas in Uzbek literature, the child appears as an active, adaptive, and life-experienced subject. From a linguocognitive perspective, the concept of the child has universal semantic cores in both cultures but differs based on national mentality.
