CONCEPTUAL REPRESENTATION OF TRUST AND DISTRUST THROUGH PAREMIOLOGICAL UNITS

The article investigates the linguocognitive features of the concepts of trust and distrust based on paremiological units of the Uzbek language—proverbs and sayings. The study analyzes the semantic structure of these concepts, their core and peripheral layers, as well as their national-cultural content using paremiological material. It is shown that in the paremiological system, the concepts of trust and distrust function not only as linguistic units but also as significant cognitive-cultural categories reflecting the moral experience, cultural thinking, and social relations of the people.
