GIS-BASED SPATIAL ANALYSIS OF CULTURAL HERITAGE SITES AND THEIR TOURISM POTENTIAL IN THE FERGANA REGION

This article analyzes the spatial distribution of tangible cultural heritage sites in the Fergana region and their tourism potential using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The study applies the Kernel Density Estimation (KDE) method to identify concentration zones and density patterns of cultural heritage sites. The results indicate that the main clusters of heritage sites are concentrated in historical centers such as Kokand and Margilan. At the same time, lower densities are observed in other districts, reflecting uneven development of tourism infrastructure.
