TRADITIONAL KARAKALPAK BAZAAR: HISTORIOGRAPHY OF THE PROBLEM

The article examines the historiography of the traditional Karakalpak bazaar as an important element of the region’s socio-economic and cultural life. It analyzes the main directions of scholarly research devoted to its study, as well as the evolution of approaches to this topic. The role of the bazaar as a center of trade and intercultural interaction is emphasized, and the insufficient development of certain aspects of the problem is noted.
