PHOTOGRAPHING THE ARCHITECTURAL MONUMENTS OF THE KOKAND KHANATE BY THE PHOTOGRAPHER G. KRIVTSOV

This article analyzes the photographic research conducted by G. Krivtsov in the territory of the Qo‘qon xonligi during the second half of the nineteenth century. The study highlights the photographer’s activities in the cities of Kokand, Asaka, and Andijan, his meetings with Xudoyorxon and court officials, as well as the earliest photographic images of the architectural monuments of the khanate. The article also examines the inclusion of Krivtsov’s photographs in the Turkiston albomi, their scholarly significance in the study of Kokand Khanate architecture, and their role in reconstructing the original appearance of historical buildings.
