ETHNIC COMPOSITION OF THE PEOPLES LIVING IN THE TERRITORY OF THE KOKAND KHANATE

This article analyzes the ethnic composition of the peoples living in the territory of the Kokand Khanate, their settlement patterns, role in socio-economic life, and interethnic cultural relations based on historical sources. The study highlights the presence of Uzbeks, Kyrgyz, Kazakhs, Tajiks, Uyghurs, and other ethnic groups within the khanate, their economic activities, and their influence on the political and cultural life of the region. In addition, the specific features of ethnic processes in the Kokand Khanate during the nineteenth century are scientifically examined.
