THE ROLE OF GESTURES AND BODY LANGUAGE IN TRAVEL AND HOSPITALITY DISCOURSE

This article scientifically analyzes the role of gestures and body language in the communicative process in the discourse of travel and hospitality. Physical gestures, facial expressions, eye contact and body movements are considered as important elements of communication between the guest and the host beyond the means of language. Linguopragmatic analysis, observation and comparison methods were used as the research methodology. Based on foreign literature and practical experience in the field of tourism, the importance of gestures and body language in intercultural communication is substantiated. The article also proves that the physical expression of employees in the hospitality industry directly affects the impression of the client.
