ATTEMPT ON MIRAGES BY VLADIMIR TENDRYAKOV AS A NOVEL ABOUT THE CRISIS OF PERSONALITY AND THE SEARCH FOR TRUTH

This article is devoted to the analysis of the works of Vladimir Tendryakov, the author of the novel Attempt on Mirages, in which the writer, exploring the role of the individual in history, debunks various kinds of “historical projects” and “mirages.” The intention to examine the figure of Christ outside the framework of traditional historical interpretation allows the novel to be understood as an attempt at the critical reconsideration of deeply rooted ideas and beliefs.
