COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS WITH SOMATIC COMPONENTS IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

This article is devoted to the comparative analysis of phraseological units with somatic components in English and Uzbek languages. It examines the semantic, structural, morphological, and functional characteristics of these units, highlighting both their universal and national-cultural features. Particular attention is paid to phraseological units containing body-part components such as head, eye, hand, and foot. The research findings demonstrate that somatic phraseological units reflect human cognitive experience and national worldview. Although many expressions show semantic equivalence between the two languages, some differ significantly due to cultural and metaphorical distinctions.
