SEMANTIC AND STRUCTURAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS IN LITERARY TEXTS AND THE AUTHOR’S MASTERY (BASED ON THE NOVELLA DEVIL’S WALL BY TOHIR MALIK)

This article examines the linguopragmatic transformation of phraseological units in the novella "The Wall of the Devil" (Iblis devori) by Tohir Malik. The research aims to identify the mechanisms of formal and semantic changes in stable units within a literary text and to clarify their role in the author's communicative strategy. Contextual-interpretative, componential, and linguopragmatic analysis methods were employed. The results demonstrate that the author utilizes strategies of phraseological expansion, ellipsis, and contamination to "break" traditional linguistic patterns and generate new pragmatic meanings (illocutionary force). The analysis revealed that 45% of the transformed phrases serve to intensify negative character traits, while 30% enhance artistic psychologism. In conclusion, these transformations act as complex cognitive processes that linguistically substantiate the ideostylistic concept of the work.
