EXPRESSION OF NATIONAL-CULTURAL FEATURES IN UZBEK FOLK PROVERBS

This article analyzes the national-cultural features of language units, their linguistic sources, and linguoculturological characteristics. The reflection of national thinking, lifestyle, and cultural values in the language system is revealed through folk expressions, proverbs, ethnocultural lexemes, and figurative expressions. In particular, the figurative bases and cultural components of language units are explained through such lexemes as ilon, chilla, do‘ppi, and palov. The semantic and cultural essence of national concepts embodied in folk expressions and paremiological units is also discussed.
