INTERPRETATION OF RELIGIOUS THINKING IN UZBEK FOLK EPIC CREATIVITY

Folk epic works are poetic reflections of the historical and religious worldview of a nation. They artistically represent the socio-political, philosophical-aesthetic, and religious-educational ideas of the people in particular historical periods. In Uzbek folklore studies, the expression of Islamic educational thought in folk epics has not been specifically investigated, and this article addresses this issue. The heroic epics Alpomish and Go‘ro‘g‘li are analyzed in terms of how religious consciousness is interpreted through the characters of their heroes. The study draws scientific conclusions about the pathos, artistic principles, and educational foundations of a lifestyle based on Islamic enlightenment as reflected in the epics.
