THE IMPORTANCE OF EXCURSIONS IN DEVELOPING EDUCATIONAL COMPETENCIES IN PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This article extensively discusses the pedagogical, didactic and educational significance of excursions in the process of forming educational competencies in primary school students. In the modern education system, it is important not only for students to gain knowledge, but also for them to develop as individuals, gain social experience and acquire practical skills. In this regard, excursions occupy a special place in primary education as an effective pedagogical tool. The article analyzes the opportunities for students to directly observe the environment through excursions, connect the topics being studied with real life, and consolidate and expand knowledge. Excursions serve to develop intellectual competencies such as observation, curiosity, independent thinking, analysis and drawing conclusions in children. At the same time, they are also an important factor in improving students' communication culture, teamwork skills and social activity. The article pays special attention to the formation of patriotism, careful attitude to nature, diligence, orderliness and moral values in students through excursions. It also covers effective methods for planning, organizing excursions in primary schools and integrating them into the educational process. In general, the article substantiates the fact that excursions are an important pedagogical tool in developing the educational competencies of primary school students, and their role and significance in the educational process are analyzed scientifically and pedagogically.
