THE IMPORTANCE OF INTERDISCIPLINARY INTEGRATION IN TEACHING PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH IN THE TRAINING OF ROAD ENGINEERS

This article analyzes the importance of interdisciplinary integration in teaching professional English to future road engineers. The study highlights methodological approaches to teaching professional English based on the close relationship of road engineering with such disciplines as geodesy, geology, construction mechanics, ecology, information technologies, and economics. The research emphasizes the significance of the English for Specific Purposes approach, practice-oriented education, ICT tools, and the acquisition of professional terminology. In addition, a step-by-step model for developing professional English language competence among future road engineers, as well as an assessment and monitoring system, is proposed. The suggested methodological system contributes to developing students’ competencies in working with international standards, technical documentation, and scientific sources.
