PEDAGOGICAL AND LINGUODIDACTIC INTERPRETATION OF THE PROBLEM OF DEVELOPING ORAL SPEECH SKILLS IN NON-PHILOLOGICAL STUDENTS

This article examines the problem of developing oral speech skills among students of non-philological fields from pedagogical and linguodidactic perspectives. In modern foreign language education, it is no longer sufficient to provide students only with grammatical knowledge and vocabulary. It is equally important to prepare them for expressing their ideas freely in professional, social and everyday communication contexts. For non-philological students, the development of oral speech is closely connected with their professional needs, learning motivation, communicative environment and the practical orientation of classroom tasks. The article highlights the role of the communicative approach, interactive methods, professionally oriented speech situations and linguodidactic principles in improving students’ oral communication skills. It also discusses the main factors that hinder oral speech development and suggests pedagogical ways to overcome them.
