THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS FOR STUDYING SOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL RELATIONS BETWEEN MOTHER AND CHILD IN A SINGLE-PARENT FAMILY

This article outlines the theoretical and methodological foundations of an empirical study of the socio-psychological characteristics of the mother-child relationship in single-parent families. In addition, the concepts of the influence of the family system on the formation of the child’s personality were analyzed, and this set of theoretical approaches serves as an integral methodological basis for a systematic study of the mother-child relationship in a single-parent family. The results of the study have practical significance for enriching the theoretical base of family psychology, as well as organizing psychological and consulting work with single-parent families.
