LINGUOCULTURAL FEATURES OF CHINESE PROVERBS AND SAYINGS

This article analyzes the linguocultural features of Chinese proverbs and sayings. Widely used in Chinese oral folk tradition, proverbs and sayings are considered important linguistic units that reflect the historical experience of society, national values, and worldview. The study explores their semantic structure, degree of imagery, and cultural connotations, revealing the expression of social, moral, and philosophical views characteristic of the Chinese mentality. In addition, the reflection of nature, labor, family relations, and traditional values in proverbs and sayings is examined through a linguocultural approach. The significance of these units as a means of demonstrating the close relationship between language and culture is substantiated.
