ANALYSIS OF THE HISTORY OF ORTHODOX CHURCH CONSTRUCTION IN TURKESTAN IN THE LATE 19TH AND EARLY 20TH CENTURIES (BASED ON ARCHIVAL AND SCHOLARLY SOURCES)

This article analyzes the legal framework regulating the activities of Christian churches in the Republic of Uzbekistan. In particular, within the framework of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Law on Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations, such principles as religious freedom, equality of confessions, and separation of religious organizations from the state are highlighted. The article also reveals the role and importance of current legislation in ensuring an environment of religious tolerance in Uzbekistan.
