THE EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES OF MUHAMMAD SHAYBANI

This article provides a scholarly analysis of the contribution of Muhammad Shaybani Khan—the founder of the Shaybanid dynasty, a statesman, military leader, ruler, and poet—to the educational system and cultural development of the sixteenth century. It examines his patronage of scholars, poets, and intellectuals, as well as his role in fostering the spiritual and educational environment of his era. The study also reviews scholarly perspectives on Muhammad Shaybani Khan’s scientific and cultural activities. Furthermore, it highlights the similarities between the educational and moral concepts that emerged during the Shaybanid period and contemporary pedagogical practices. Based on historical sources and pedagogical approaches, the article substantiates the significance of the spiritual and educational heritage of the Shaybanid era for the development of modern education and upbringing.
