THE USE OF PROVERBS IN FOLK EPICS (A CASE STUDY OF THE BALOGARDON EPIC)

This article examines the use of proverbs in folklore through the example of Fozil Yo‘ldosh o‘g‘li’s epic Balogardon (recorded by Buyuk Karimov in 1984). The study analyzes the role of proverbs in enriching the content of the epic, as well as their lexical-semantic and artistic-aesthetic functions. Particular attention is given to the grammatical and stylistic features of proverbs within the structure of the epic text. The findings demonstrate that proverbs serve as an important means of expressing folk wisdom, life experience, and enhancing the national and spiritual value of the epic.
