LINGUOCULTURAL FEATURES OF ANTHROPONYMS: A CASE STUDY OF UZBEK AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

This article analyzes the linguocultural features of anthroponyms in the Uzbek and Russian languages. Anthroponyms are examined as significant linguistic units that reflect the history of a nation, religious beliefs, national mentality, aesthetic preferences, social values and cultural memory. The study comparatively explores the origin, semantic structure, cultural symbolism and the connection of Uzbek and Russian personal names with religious, historical and social factors. Special attention is paid to the influence of national traditions, family values, social environment and modern naming trends on the process of name selection. The article substantiates that anthroponyms perform not only a nominative function, but also cultural-informational, identificational and axiological functions.
