SULTAN JALOLIDDIN MANGUBERDI IN GEORGIAN INSCRIPTIONS

This article analyzes the military campaigns of Sultan Jalaluddin Manguberdi in Georgia in thecontext of the political and military processes that took place in the Caucasus region in the first half of the13th century, as well as the reflection of these events in Georgian historical and written sources. The articleanalyzes the attitude of Georgian authors to the personality and activities of Sultan Jalaluddin Manguberdibased on historical, philosophical and methodological approaches, and highlights the factors that shapedthis image in Georgian historical thought.
