THE ROLE OF RELIGIOUS BELIEFS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF EVENTS IN THE EPIC KUNTUG‘MISH

The service of the bakhshis in the transmission of folk epics from generation to generation is incomparable. The development of events and the chain of plots of each epic are built on the basis of the bakhshi's views and the skill of using words. In Uzbek folklore, the epic "Kuntug'mish" is distinguished by its artistic perfection and the special skill required from the narrator. All this indicates that the bakhshi's ideas about the main characters are closely connected with the motives that drive the plot of the epic. This article examines the role of the epic hero in the development of the epic events and the specific aspects of the expression of religious views in the version of the epic "Kuntug'mish" sung by Ergash Jumanbulbul oglu.
