FEATURES AND DIFFERENCES OF MIGRATION OF MOROCCO AND TUNISIA AFTER INDEPENDENCE

After independence, a political and economic crisis and social unrest occurred in Morocco. Political governance was decentralized, the economy was completely in the hands of France, the currency was measured in francs, the main language was French, and education was underdeveloped. Tunisia, like Morocco, had problems such as rapid population growth, underdeveloped industry and production, low economic level but high unemployment, which is why migration was considered important. In the 60s and 70s of the 20th century, mainly young men of working age went to France, Germany, and Belgium to work in industries such as manufacturing, construction, and mining.
