METAPHORICAL MODELING OF NATURE CONCEPTS IN ENGLISH AND KARAKALPAK RIDDLES

This article comparatively examines the linguacognitive models formed based on nature metaphors in English and Karakalpak folk riddles. Metaphorical models related to zoometaphors, phytometaphors, as well as natural objects and phenomena, are analyzed, revealing their functional capabilities in the implicit expression of denotation. Furthermore, the conceptualization of human body parts, household items, social phenomena, and abstract concepts through nature metaphors in riddles is examined.
