THE HISTORY OF MEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTIONS IN UZBEKISTAN (A CASE STUDY OF THE RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF DERMATOLOGY AND VENEREOLOGY)

This article analyzes the history of the establishment and development of medical research institutions in Uzbekistan through the example of dermatology and venereology. The Research Institute of Dermatology and Venereology, which later functioned as a Republican Specialized Center, is examined as a key institution coordinating scientific research and practical medical services in this field. Particular attention is paid to its contribution to the study of skin and venereal diseases, the training of qualified medical personnel, the formation of scientific schools, and the improvement of the national healthcare system. The findings provide a deeper understanding of the development of dermatology and venereology as well as the evolution of medical science in Uzbekistan.
