SPEECH DEVELOPMENT IN CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS

The number of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is increasing every year around the world. Speech disorders in children with ASD are diverse and are the object of scientific study. The article analyzes the normal state of speech development and its features in autistic disorders. Special attention is paid to the features of sensory perception in children with autism, its relationship with intellectual and speech development. The main stages of the formation of the communicative function of speech in ontogenesis and autistic dysontogenesis are presented in a comparative manner. The features of pre-speech development in children with ASD and normotypical peers, the conditions for the formation of the nominative speech system are considered. Various strategies for acquiring speech, stages of formation of the lexical-grammatical structure, dialogic and monologic forms of communication are analyzed in the norm and ASD.
