GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF MORPHOPHONOLOGICAL PROCESSES IN KOREAN AND UZBEK AND THEIR LINGUISTIC DESCRIPTION

This article presents a comparative-typological analysis of morphonological processes and their graphic representation in the Korean and Uzbek languages, both of which exhibit agglutinative structures. The study examines sound changes occurring at morpheme boundaries—such as assimilation, dissimilation, reduction, elision, and positional alternation—and compares their alignment with orthographic and orthoepic rules. Special attention is given to the syllable-based phonetic structure of the Korean Hangul writing system and the Latin-based Uzbek orthography, highlighting similarities and differences in how morphonological phenomena are graphically realized.
