THE USE OF RELIGIOUS TERMS RELATED TO ISLAM, CHRISTIANITY, AND BUDDHISM IN LITERARY, ACADEMIC, AND EVERYDAY DISCOURSE

This article analyzes the use of lexical units related to Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism in literary works, academic discourse, and everyday communication. The aim of the study is to determine the semantic and pragmatic functions performed by religious terms across different speech styles. The analysis reveals that religious vocabulary enhances imagery and expressiveness in literary texts, ensures terminological precision in academic discourse, and serves as a means of expressing cultural and social values in everyday communication. In addition, the study examines the stylistic adaptation of religious words and the changes in their meanings depending on context. The findings demonstrate the significant role of religious vocabulary within the linguistic system and highlight its close relationship with culture and society.
