Abstract

The article provides a comparative analysis of the conceptual-metaphorical representation of emotional states in English and Uzbek phraseology in terms of intensity, evaluation, the speaker’s stance, and discursive impact. It examines the functions of phraseological units in intensifying emotions, dramatizing events, and indirectly expressing the speaker’s attitude.
