METAPHORS IN QUOTATION MARKS AND HEADLINES USED IN JOURNALISTIC STYLE (BASED ON EXAMPLES FROM FARMON TOSHEV'S JOURNALISM)

A significant number of metaphors in Farmon Toshev’s works are realized through the use of quotation marks. The quoted metaphors employed in Farmon Toshev’s journalistic writing can conventionally be divided into two groups. The first group includes words and expressions already existing in the language, while the second consists of individual authorial metaphors. The quoted metaphors used in Toshev’s journalistic texts are noteworthy for creating unexpected imagery, influencing the reader, and producing an aesthetic effect.
