GENDER BARRIERS TO SEEKING PREVENTIVE ASSISTANCE AGAINST HUMAN TRAFFICKING: A SOCIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF STIGMA AND SOCIAL STEREOTYPES

This study provides a sociological analysis of gender barriers affecting the willingness of individuals at risk of human trafficking or those who have experienced trafficking to seek preventive assistance and support from relevant social institutions. Particular attention is paid to gender roles, socially constructed stereotypes, reputational stigma, and the psychological and social constraints associated with seeking help.
