Abstract

This article analyzes the methodology for developing implicit grammatical competence in future English language teachers at higher education institutions and examines the pedagogical and methodological effectiveness of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) in this process. The article highlights the limitations of traditional explicit approaches, in which students may acquire grammatical rules but experience difficulties in applying them automatically in speech. Drawing on experimental research and theoretical foundations, the study substantiates the role of the stages of TBLT in transferring implicit knowledge into procedural memory and developing linguistic intuition.
