Abstract

The article presents an empirical study of gender differences in perseverance, academic motivation, and volitional qualities among university students. The results showed that female students demonstrated higher levels of consistency of interests, introjected motivation, perseverance, and endurance, whereas male students showed higher levels of self-esteem, external and achievement motivation, courage, and initiative. Cognitive motivation, self-development, goal orientation, and determination were found to be gender-invariant characteristics.
