This article comparatively examines the pragmalinguistic features of the interactional deictic field in English and Uzbek. It analyzes the communicative-pragmatic functions of personal, social, and discourse deixis that shape the relationship between speakers and listeners in the process of communication. The study identifies the role of forms of address, personal pronouns, linguistic means expressing communicative distance, and units indicating the social status of speech participants within the interactional deictic field of English and Uzbek. Based on a comparative-pragmatic analysis, the study reveals both universal and national-cultural features of interactional deixis in the two languages.
