This article examines the linguistic and cultural challenges involved in translating folk medicine terminology between English and Uzbek. Unlike standardized medical terminology, folk medicine terms are closely associated with national experience, customs, and traditions. The study analyzes different levels of terminological equivalence and provides a scholarly justification for the effectiveness of appropriate translation strategies and descriptive translation methods.
