Abstract

This article examines the possibilities of applying interactive methods based onthe STEAM approach to improve the quality of science lessons in primary education. Theinternational education framework established for the period up to 2030 identifies ensuring opportunities for quality lifelong education as a priority task [1]. The articledemonstrates the applicability of methods such as brainstorming, group work, clustering, problem-based questions, pair work, role-playing, discussions and debates, and experimental activities to Grade 3 science topics, including “Earthquakes,” “The PlantWorld,” “Nature Conservation,” and others. According to observations conducted amongGrade 3 students, the STEAM/project-based method demonstrated the highesteffectiveness (96–100%). Interactive methods were shown to be effective in developingstudents’ independent and logical thinking, collaboration skills, and environmentalawareness.
