Abstract

The article examines lexical nucleology as a branch of contrastive lexicology that studies the parametric cores of lexical-semantic systems. It describes the conceptual framework of the parametric analysis of vocabulary, the typology of lexical cores, and terminological distinctions. Data on Slavic and Turkic languages are synthesized, and methodological requirements for identifying the core of Uzbek vocabulary are developed.
