Abstract

This article provides a theoretical analysis of the pedagogical, psychological, and didactic foundations for enhancing the educational and cognitive activity of students majoring in music education at higher education institutions. It substantiates the specific characteristics of music education, including the interrelationship between auditory perception, musical thinking, artistic and aesthetic understanding, performance skills, creative exploration, and reflective abilities. The article highlights the need for students to develop not merely as passive recipients of knowledge in the educational process, but as active participants capable of independent thinking, analyzing musical phenomena, developing artistic solutions, and managing their own educational trajectories.
