abstract: The article analyzes the concepts of “freedom,” “nature,” “sacred traditions,” and “heroism,” which occupy an important place in the works of Scottish bards, from linguocultural and poetic perspectives. The works of Robert Burns and Hamish Henderson are selected as the main sources, revealing the artistic means of expressing these concepts. The analysis demonstrates the close connection of these concepts with the people’s historical memory, national identity, and cultural heritage. The findings indicate that the concept of freedom reflects the Scottish people’s aspirations for independence and justice, while the concept of nature becomes a key symbol of national spirit and aesthetic perception. The concept of sacred traditions serves as a means of preserving cultural memory and intergenerational continuity. The concept of heroism artistically generalizes ideas of courage, devotion, and national unity. The results show that in the poetics of Scottish bards, national concepts function as the semantic and cultural foundation of collective consciousness.
