title: RECODING NATIONAL STYLISTIC LAYERS INTO ENGLISH

abstract: This article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the concept of national stylistic layers from linguistic and linguocultural perspectives, as well as to a detailed examination of the features of their recoding into English. The study interprets the national stylistic layer not only as a functional component of the language system, but also as a phenomenon closely connected with national mentality, communicative traditions, and cultural values. Drawing on the theories of Roman Jakobson and Michael Halliday, the theoretical foundations of stylistic differentiation are outlined, and the mechanism of the formation of stylistic layers is explained through the register model. In addition, a comparative analysis of the stylistic systems of Uzbek and English is conducted, identifying typological differences at the levels of expressive means, syntactic structure, lexical choice, and pragmatic markers.
