      "abstract": "The article presents a comparative analysis of the linguopoetic features of the image of Tamerlane in Edgar Allan Poe\u2019s poem \u201cTamerlane\u201d and Christopher Marlowe\u2019s drama \u201cTamburlaine the Great.\u201d The study is based on linguopoetics, cognitive linguistics, and discourse approaches. The findings show that in Poe\u2019s work, the image of Tamerlane is expressed through inner spiritual tragedy, remorse, and melancholic reflection, whereas in Marlowe\u2019s drama, he appears as a symbol of absolute power and titanism. The article reveals the mechanisms of artistic thinking formation through linguistic means.",
