%X This article analyzes the process of institutional transformation of the mahalla institution in the context of New Uzbekistan from legal and socio-economic perspectives. In particular, it examines the evolving status of the mahalla within the system of public governance, its normative-legal foundations, the implementation of the “Seven-member” model, the “Online Mahalla” digital platform, and its role in poverty reduction and employment generation, illustrated through the example of Khorezm region.
