The aim of the study is to provide a chronological and typological characterization of Middle and Upper Paleolithic, Neolithic, and Eneolithic finds based on museum collections and to determine their scientific and museological significance. The research employs collection inventory data, archaeological description, and comparative-historical analysis. It has been established that the museum preserves 7,982 Stone Age artifacts, the majority belonging to the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods. The collections were formed mainly from materials of the Zirabulak, Kutirbulak, Sazagan, Dzhanbaskala, and Kavatkala sites. The typology and production technology of stone tools indicate permanent human occupation of the territory of Uzbekistan already in the Middle Paleolithic and the gradual development of a productive economy in subsequent periods. In conclusion, the scientific value of the collections as historical sources, their state of preservation, and their potential use in museum exhibitions are evaluated. The necessity of creating a thematic exhibition and digitalizing the Stone Age collections is substantiated.2026-01-01Article
