      "abstract": "The comparative analysis demonstrates that despite differences in ideological and aesthetic perspectives, the female characters in Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and \u201cFoggy Tabriz\u201d by Mammad Said Ordubadi reflect the profound spiritual and psychological world of women at a high artistic level. L.N. Tolstoy presents female characters mainly through individual-spiritual and psychological dimensions. Anna Karenina is portrayed as a woman who enters into conflict with the rigid moral norms of society in pursuit of personal happiness and freedom. Through this character, the writer reveals the moral contradictions of society, the inner drama of the individual, and the tragedy generated by the patriarchal environment. Anna Karenina\u2019s tragic fate becomes an artistic expression of the incompatibility between personal feelings and social norms. In contrast, M.S. Ordubadi represents female characters within a socio-ideological and national-spiritual context. In the novel \u201cFoggy Tabriz,\u201d Mahru is depicted as a bearer of national awakening, spiritual resilience, and social responsibility. She appears as an idealized model of a woman who remains faithful to national ideals while actively participating in the renewal of society. The comparison between Mahru and Kitty most clearly illustrates the differences in the authors\u2019 artistic approaches. While Kitty symbolizes family values, spiritual purity, and psychological maturity, Mahru embodies national-ideological determination and social activism.",
