PublishScience PreprintsISOMORPHIC AND ALLOMORPHIC FEATURES OF THE CONSTITUENTS FORMING THE CONCEPT OF “EYE” IN UZBEK AND SPANISH LANGUAGESSevinjShabanovaauthorThis article analyzes the linguocognitive and linguocultural features of the “eye/ojo” concept in Uzbek and Spanish from a comparative perspective. The main purpose of the study is to identify the isomorphic, that is, universal-common, and allomorphic, that is, nationally and culturally differentiated, features of the semantic constituents forming this concept. During the analysis, phraseological units, metaphorical expressions, and paremiological units containing the components “ko‘z” in Uzbek and “ojo” in Spanish were used as the main research material. The results demonstrate that in both languages this concept is manifested within common semantic fields such as perception, cognition, observation, control, emotional state, and aesthetic evaluation. At the same time, in Uzbek the concept of “ko‘z” is actively associated with the semantics of the evil eye, protection, and affection, whereas in Spanish the concept of “ojo” is widely used in the meanings of “mal de ojo,” warning, vigilance, and the center of public attention.2026-01-01Article
