PublishScience PreprintsUZBEK LINGUISTICS: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS IN PUNCTUATIONShoiraXabibullayevaauthorThis article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the punctuation system in Uzbek linguistics, its functional significance in written speech, and punctuation problems arising in the modern communicative environment. During the study, the normative inconsistencies observed in the use of commas, dashes, hyphens, colons, semicolons, quotation marks, and colons were studied. Also, the processes of punctuation simplification occurring in Uzbek written speech under the influence of Internet discourse, social networks, and instant messaging were scientifically explained. The article interprets the issue of punctuation not only as a technical writing phenomenon, but also as a complex system related to syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and text linguistics. Based on the results of the study, scientific and practical recommendations were developed to increase punctuation literacy, improve the normative base, create electronic corpora, and introduce functional punctuation methodology into the educational process.2026-01-01Article
