N2  - The article explores the theoretical and methodological foundations for developing primary school students? literary-speech competence through a collaborative approach. Literary-speech competence is interpreted as an integrative competence related to text comprehension, interpretation of literary images, coherent oral and written expression, and reflective response. The study analyzes the literary-perceptive, interpretative, speech-communicative, reflective, and integrative components of this competence. The role of the collaborative approach in developing students? communication, exchange of ideas, argumentation, and independent conclusion-making skills is substantiated. As a result, collaborative learning is considered an effective methodological tool for understanding literary texts and developing speech activity.
