In accordance with G. Yakman’s STEAM doctrine, Excel is analyzed in the context of five STEAM components - science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The study proposes a four-stage methodology for organizing students’ project-research activities based on Excel’s extended functional capabilities (PivotTable, Power Query, Power Pivot, Solver, VBA macros, Data Analysis ToolPak). The results of the pedagogical experiment conducted within the framework of the research confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed methodology: the formation of computational-analytical competencies in the experimental group was 27.3% higher than the indicators of the control group.2026-01-01Article
